The New York Chair with Sled Base by Connubia Calligaris is part of a large family of New York dining, office, and bar chairs, all featuring a sturdy metal frame and upholstered seat and backrest. A designer dining chair like no other.
The smart leather chair with back support hosts an enveloping backrest and wide seat, which make the chair very comfortable, are both fully upholstered. Leather:
Calligaris uses leather which comes from the finest part of the European ox skin (the core) cut in different thicknesses depending on the requests and then tanned.
The external finish is obtained by using water based colours. This leather features a natural grain.
Skuba (Faux Leather):
Calligaris uses skuba, a faux leather style fabric alternative.
Vintage Fabric: 100% PL gr/m2 430 (stain resistant)
Mat Fabric: 100% PL gr/m2 457
DESIGNER:
Lupo Design
Alessandro Rainer graduated in architecture and design in Innsbruck and works at the Lupo Design GMBH studio in Salzburg.
Wolfgang Rainer graduated from the College of Applied Arts in Vienna and lives in Salzburg, where he works as an industrial designer at the Lupo design studio.
Since 2004, the studio has carried out several projects in collaboration with Calligaris including the AXEL Tables, STEWARD Coffee Tables, BAY, and NEW YORK Dining Chairs.
