Shiko Magnum Bed Designed by E-GGS for Miniforms
Shiko is a ritual exercise performed by sumo wrestlers, which involves lifting the legs and stomping hard on the floor to chase away evil spirits.
Like that ritual, we have designed a bed that evokes a sense of solidity and safety.
Its strength lies in the softness of its headboard.

Designed by E-GGS for Miniforms

Founded in 2012 by Gaia Giotti and Jonah Scarselli, E-GGS is concerned with the design of a transversal approach, ranging from product design, interior and architecture.
The attention and the curiosity are captured by the discovery of the unusual in everyday life, in the search for new forms of expression and materials.
It is the exploration of the needs of everyday ideas that arise for ideas.

Miniforms started life in Italy in the 1970’s, initially specialising in manufacturing small tables and furnishing accessories. By the end of the 1980’s Miniforms had expanded their production and reached a global market with their new collections of chairs, tables and bookcases.
By 2009 Luigi Bardini, Miniforms founder, sold the company to his sons Alessandro, Matteo and Mario, who have invested in cutting edge production techniques and are working with the fresh young talents of Italian furniture design.
Miniforms style and ethos focuses on using authentic materials and environment compatible materials. The forms and colours are essential, with clean and primary lines.
This is contemporary Italian furniture design & manufacture at its best.
